Chequered butt, serial numbered heel and toe plates, chequered straight grip and forend with embellished finial. Damascus barrels, convex rib engraved BOZARD & Co 33 NEW BOND STREET LONDON’. Top lever engraved ‘PATENT SAFETY’, the action engraved ‘LOCK’D’, action flats engraved with serial number.The action extensively finely engraved with acanthus scrolling, feather border and ‘MURCOTT’S PATENT’ mounted on scrolls to the sides.

Light silvering to muzzle and breech with a number of very light marks to the barrels and rib. Finish nearly intact and pleasant. The action with oil staining, the engraving sharp and little softened. The stock sympathetically replaced and very nice. Fitted perfectly. The bores bright with with a small, shallow dent in the left tube and gentle riffling in the right.
