Ramrod stop to muzzles, convex, tapered ribs engraved WESTLEY RICHARDS 23 CONDUIT ST NEW BOND ST LONDON GUNMAKERS TO HIS MAJESTY GEORGE V REX ET IMP’ & ‘1’ & ‘2’ inlaid. Treble-grip actions, doll’s head extensions, fine beaded fences. Westley cammed top levers, inlaid ‘1’ & ‘2’, the upper engraved ‘WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT ONE TRIGGER’, automatic safeties with ‘SAFE’ inlaid. Scroll-back actions incorporating J. Deeley and L.B. Taylor patent hand-detachable locks, patent no. 17731 of 28th July 1897, use numbers 2776 and 2777, the toplevers engraved ‘Westley Richards Patent One Trigger’ and gold-inlaid ‘1’ and ‘2’, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid ‘SAFE’ details, detachable floorplates, L.B. Taylor modified ‘two pull’ single trigger, patent no. 26,659 of November 17th 1909, triggerplate-mounted selector switches with gold-inlaid ‘L’ and ‘R’, In the original maker’s brass-cornered, leather-covered case with original labels.

Slightest silvering to muzzles, left breech to Gun 1 lightly silvered. Light, patchy tarnishing to both actions, Gun 2 more so to right side. Gun 2 lock hinge plate wth minute mark and slight dent where it comes against the trigger guard. Chequering sharp to both. No damage to any wood. Gun 1 would benefir from a little TLC to the stock.
