Description
Finely chequered horn butt, re-chequered straight grip and forend. Tapered rib engraved WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co LONDON’. Top lever with inlaid triangle, automatic safety with ‘SAFE’ inlaid in gold, cocking indicators, the action engraved with bouquets and extensive acanthus scrolling. For 1927.

Reproofed when converted to 2 3/4" chambers. Fine silvering to breech and muzzle. Barrels refinished – some fine vestigial pits to left breech. The action retaining a little colour (thinned) although extensively tarnished. The engraving slightly softened. The forend with small chip to left side. The chequering reworked poorly. Some vestigial damage to the stock.
