Chequered butt with heel and toe plates, chequered straight grip and forend. Tapered rib engraved WILLIAM EVANS 63 PALL MALL St JAMES’S LONDON’, doll’s head extension. Treble grip action, top lever, automatic safety with ‘SAFE’ inlaid in gold. The action engraved throughout with extensive acanthus scrolling. For 1927.

Light silvering to muzzle and breech with a number of light marks to the barrels, thinning to the breech end. The action retaining some original colour, the engraving sharp.Left edge of forend splintered, a crack on the left side down to the wrist. A deep scratch in the softened chequering.
