Description
Chequered horn butt plate, straight grip and forend, the same with horn finial. Damsacus barrels, the rib engraved ‘WH MONKS CHESTER’, doll’s head extension, cocking indicators, clip-lump action – Bonehill Patent 8471 of 1884, Patent use no 342, top lever, automatic safe. The locks finely engraved with best acanthus scroll and ‘W.H. MONKS’. Black powder proof 1875 to 1887.
