Horn butt carved with woodland scene, chequered straight grip and Hackett-type snap-on splinter forend with horn finial. Deeply carved fences, back action, non-rebounding hares ears hammers, hold open top lever. The action coarsely and spuriously engraved ‘J MANTON’ to the sides. 1868 rules of proof Birmingham.
