Ventilated, rubber butt, chequered rounded grip and forend. The barrels engraved ‘W POWELL & SON 35 CARRS LANE, BIRMINGHAM’. Tapered, broad, machine-finished rib, sideclipped treble-grip action, top lever, automatic safety with ‘SAFE’ inlaid. The action engraved with bouquets and extensive acanthus scrolling. For 1955. Reproved Superior Proof 2012.

Additional Comments, Light silvering to muzzle and breech with a number of fine, light marks to the barrels, area of finest corrosion. The action bright, the engraving little worn. The chequering pleasantly softened, minor marks to the finish, two recent deeper scratches to the RHS. The bores bright.
