Wooden butt and extension, plate absent, chequered straight grip and forend. Damascus barrel with a tapered machine finished rib engraved ‘JAMES LAWSON. GLASGOW ‘. Cross bolt extension,  top lever, safety with ‘SAFE’ inlaid in gold. The action engraved with bouquets and extensive acanthus scrolling. 1896 rules of proof.

Additional Comments, The finish to the barrels thinned with tarnish spotting. The action bright with some very light tarnishing. The engraving still crisp. Extension could match better, repaired split to forend.
