Autumn Sale of Fine Sporting arms
Shaped, iron butt plate, chequered straight grip, rectangular escutcheon. Three stage Damascus barrel, banded at the forward intersection, the top flat engraved ‘LANCASTER’, replaced ramrod. The lock engraved ‘TOWNLEY’ with acanthus scrolling and detailed edging. Iron trigger guard with raised tang. Birmingham Black Powder proof 1813 – 55.
