Chequered butt pad with steel heel and toe plates, richly-figured stock, chequered, rounded, semi-pistol grip and forend. The rib engraved "J WILLIAMS & CO LONDON". Carved fences, non-rebounding, hare’s ears hammers, blued top lever. Treble grip action. The plates, action and hammers all retaining much original colour. In a leather bound, brass-cornered case with accessories. Original black powder proof 1887 – 96, nitro-reproved c.1980.
