Named after the Blue Rock pigeon that was used in pigeon shooting competitions and is engraved to the breech on the rib. The Blue Rock was built in small numbers and was finished to a higher standard than the normal Empire.  Ser No 79078 was built by Greeners in 1964 but not finished passing to Webley & Scott when they purchased the Greener company in 1965. The gun was finished by Webleys as  detailed on page 153 of "The Greener Story" by Graham Greener.

Additional Comments: The
Finish intact to the
Barrels except for some fine silvering to the muzzle and a small patch of tarnish to the left muzzle. Much colour-hardening to the action, the engraving deep and sharp. The chequering lightly softened, the
Stock with one small ding. The bores bright. Very impressive with little sign of use.
