The Pair – Well-matched 1 1/2" ribbed extension to butt, nicely-figured straight grip stock with gold escutcheon, finely chequered straight grip alongwith the forend. Plain, tapered ribs engraved ‘1’ & ‘2’ respectively, the same to the hold open top levers. Treble grip action, automatic safety with ‘SAFE’ inlaid in gold, cocking indicators. The actions retaining some original colour, extensively adorned and finely engraved with extensive acanthus bouquets. With oak, leather and brass cornered double case opening to a blue baize lined interior marked E.M. Reilly & Co Gun & Rifle Makers, 227 Oxford Street London. Barrel on No 2. Retaining some original colour to both actions. The cocking indicators missing any markings. All bores unmarked. Both
Stocks with extensive light scratching, No 1 with a longer scratch, No 2 with a chip to the toe and 3 deeper marks 1/4" each. Very nice pieces.
