A 12-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTOR Ser No 42143
Ribbed, horn butt, chequered straight grip and forend. Rib engraved (worn) ‘Armstrong & Co NEWCASTLE on TYNE’. Treble grip action, castellated fences, hold open top lever, automatic safety with ‘SAFE’ inlaid in gold. The action delicately engraved with bouquets and extensive acanthus scrolling. In a leather-bound case.

Proof .729 Readings .730, .730 Walls 33, 22 Metal - C Finish - C Stock - B Additional Comments: Silvering to breech with some thinning and localised pitting to barrels. Escutcheon to underside of forend replaced. Thinned original finish left to action, the engraving crisp. The stock with little marking, small repair to toe. Some pitting to safety catch and rear of tang.
