Horn butt plate, straight grip, black powder proof barrels, replaced by Kerr, as per the rib engraved "C. KERR. STRANRAER". Deeply carved percussion fences, scroll-back hare’s ear non-rebounding hammers, the side plates finely and elaborately decorated with acanthus scrolls, with "T.M. COTTERILL" mounted on a cartouche.
