A 410 gauge SINGLE BARREL Ser No 528
An early 410 not converted from another calibre. 74 bore, black powder proof, pre-1875. Chequered horn butt and Prince of Wales grip. The breech end of the barrel octagonal, transitioning to round, the top flat engraved ‘J & W TOLLEY, MAKERS, No 4, CONDUIT ST, REGENT ST, LONDON’. Side lever, hammer. The action, tarnished, with ‘J&W TOLLEY’ mounted on scrolls with fine embellishments.
