Vulcanite ribbed butt pad, highly figured stock with chequered straight grip and forend. The tapered rib engraved ‘THE AVANT TOUT’, automatic safety, lightly carved fences, the action finely decorated with acanthus bouquets and ‘COGSWELL & HARRISON’ on a cartouche to the sides.

Condition report:
M - C, F - C, W - B/C Nicely figured stock with a pleasing patina, the chequering lightly softened. The barrels silvered to the ends. The action retaining a little original finish. The forend slightly loose and the barrels marginally off the fences.
