Nitro barrels engraved with scrollwork at the breech end. Broad rib engraved ‘LANG & HUSSEY Ltd 182, NEW BOND STREET, LONDON.’ and ‘1’. Automatic safety, ‘SAFE’ inlaid in gold, retaining some original colour-hardening and finish. Edged with simple scrollwork. Top lever marked ‘1’. The underside with a cartouche engraved ‘PATENT EJECTORS’. The stock of figured walnut with well matched extension piece of 1 ¾”, cast off for the right shoulder. Fore-end engraved ‘1’. The other, No 2, it is believed, being in America.
