Hard rubber butt plate with fine chequering, a figure, ‘THE NIMROD, LIEGE’ and ‘AF’ after Augustus Francotte. The stock in the European style, chequered straight grip with horn trigger-guard tang. The rib engraved ‘THE NIMROD GUN MANUFACTORY LIEGE’, sling attachment on the underside of the Damascus (not nitro) barrels, trigger guard also in the scrolled, European style. Rebounding hammers, Lefaucheux action. The action and side plates adorned with fine, open, foliate silver inlay.
