Ribbed wooden butt plate, nicely figured stock, chequered straight grip and fore-end. Nitro barrels, the raised mid rib engraved "CHAS PLAYFAIR & CO, ABERDEEN", the breech end engraved with fine simple scrolling. The action retaining some original colour-hardening with simple border engraving, a cartouche with "Chas Playfair & Co" surrounded by acanthus decoration to the sides. Auto safe with machine finish, acanthus decoration and "SAFE" inlaid in gold.
