Fine metal ribbed butt plate, the stock slightly cast off for the right shoulder, chequered, rounded, semi-pistol grip and forend with horn insert. Concave machine-finished rib engraved ‘L HOLLIS & Sons BIRMINGHAM & LONDON’. The action, retaining 30% original colour, modestly adorned with with some acanthus scroll and foliate edging, ‘L HOLLIS & Sons’ to the sides. In the most magnificently-aged canvas covered case complete with Australian National Airways label.
