12-BORE SCARCE CABLE-CUTTING CARTRIDGE
1942 MKIII. As used in our bombers to cut through the cables that the tethered the anti aircraft balloons; The cable slid down the wing of aircraft into a slot and on entry triggered the “gun” that fired the hardened chisel to cut the balloon free.
