Moulded ebonite butt pad with woodland scene, shield escutcheon, ebonite end cap to semi-pistol grip, chequering to same and forend with horn insert. Reproved, refinished Damascus barrels, the machine-finished rib engraved ‘KEEPERS GUN’. Carved fences, rebounding locks with blackened C-scroll hammers. The action bright with simplified acanthus scroll, ‘W & J DAVIS BIRMINGHAM’ to the sides. M - B/C, F - B/C, S - C The barrels are beautiful - some silvering to the breech and muzzle, thinning where handled. The action has been polished, softening the engraving. The stock has some vestigial damage all of which should be evident in the photographs - one nick butting the tang and below adjacent to the pistol grip
