A 12-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTOR Ser No 6686;

A well-figured stock with chequered butt and straight grip. Raised automatic safety with gold inlaid ‘SAFE’, the top lever blued and finely engraved, striker discs, fences highlighted with channelling engraving adorned with foliate to fern engraving. Lovely. Very fine foliate engraving throughout with a rhombic feature to each lock; ‘STEPHEN GRANT & SONS’ modestly engraved. Replaced nitro-barrels, the rib engraved ‘PATENT EJECTOR’ and gold inlaid ‘1’, the tubes ‘STEPHEN GRANT & SONS. 7, BURY STREET. ST. JAMES’S, LONDON. ENGLAND.’

It was made for H Hacking, Esq. and was ordered 22nd December 1894.

It was transferred to a H Fryer until 1935, transferred in 1940 to an MDN Wyatt.

M – B, F – B, W – B/C, B – A. The action is in very nice condition as are the barrels with approx. 5-10% of silvering. One fine scratch. The stock has numerous dings and one scratch all of which could be easily remedied
